Hi everyone!
So this is my first post on here, and I already have some exciting things to tell you :-)
I arrived in Hyderabad almost 3 weeks ago, and after a couple of days of induction with one of the founders of Pollinate Energy, the April 2015 Young Professionals Program (YPP) started. The YPP is a program organised twice a year in each new city and brings together around 10 international young professionals, some local young professionals and the Pollinate Energy staff to work together on training new Pollinators and other strategic topics for 2 weeks. It was quite intense, and a lot of fun!
Here's the deal for the rest: instead of writing a long post I'm going to post some pictures and comment on each one, enjoy!

First lamp sold on my first day in India! Not bad right? I was with Krish, one of our first Pollinator here in Hyderabad in a community we called "smelly stream" (I'll let you guess why), and this couple bought a light from him. I discovered the process of making a sale, installing it, etc., it's really amazing to see how it changes the customer's life so radically! Most people pay thanks to a 5 week instalment plan, so Krish will have to visit this community every week for 5 weeks, building a strong relationship with them leading to hopefully more sales. Unfortunately this couple couldn't pay the first week because the husband, who is a daily wage construction worker like many people in the slum communities, didn't get paid that week. We always give them one chance, but have to be very strict in order not to open the door to a default, which may seem harsh but is necessary, as we learned from our past experiences in Bangalore. Thankfully the next week they made the two outstanding payments at once and everything was back in order.
The (almost, sorry Dan) full April 2015 YPP team! It was an amazing experience to meet, work and have fun with y'all, thanks again! Can't wait to organise a program in City #3 :-)
Australians, Kiwis and Indians together in India, of course we had to play cricket!
Classic selfie with Vinnay (bottom left, one of our Indian Young Professionals), Anil Reddy (bottom right, one of our new amazing Hyderabad Pollinators) and kids in the communities. This is one out of probably a million. Kids are just so awesome here.
